Instagram AutoDM With Multiple Keywords
Assign different AutoDM responses to different keywords on the same Reel - LINK for products, GUIDE for a PDF, BOOK for a booking link - with Smart Keyword Triggers.
Multiple keywords are for one Reel that honestly contains more than one request. They are not a way to hide five CTAs in one caption. If 90% of comments are LINK, you only need LINK until the content earns a second intent.
Design the map before you film
Write the comment options on paper, then film. A fashion Reel that shows a kurta and a styling trick can support LINK (products) and GUIDE (the trick as a one-pager). A Reel that only shows a haul should not advertise BOOK.

Matching rules that bite creators
- Exact token vs phrase - If the tool matches the whole comment, “LINK please” may miss. Prefer a one-word comment in the caption, or add the extra phrases you will accept.
- Hindi and English - “LINK” and “लिंक” are different strings. Either teach English LINK only, or add the Devanagari keyword as its own trigger with the same payload.
- Substring traps - A keyword BOOK inside BOOKING or BOOKMARK can fire the wrong payload if the matcher is greedy. Use short, unique tokens (BOOK, GUIDE, SIZE).
- Emoji-only comments - Do not use a fire emoji as a keyword unless you are ready for every reaction comment to get a DM.
Caption that teaches two options without clutter
One line at the end is enough: “Comment LINK for products, SIZE for the chart.” Three options is the practical maximum on a 15-second Reel. Four options belong in a carousel or a later video.
How to test without embarrassing yourself
- Enable both keywords on a private or close-friends test Reel first.
- From a second account, comment LINK, then SIZE, then a typo (LINKS). Write down what arrived.
- Only then put the same map on the public Reel.
